Source conflict on end dates: the Times of India reported Class 12 ending March 27 and Class 10 ending April 29, while the Indian Express, NDTV, Jagran Josh and EdexLive give March 29 and April 12. I use March 29 for Class 12 because most outlets agree. Check the official DGE timetable.

These two do not agree for practical subjects. The first appears to follow the structure in the board's model papers and exam pattern coverage. Check your school and the DGE circular for your subjects before you build a marks target. This plan works under either split.
The Paper Format
Per the guide above, the common paper design is Part I (20 MCQs of 1 mark), Part II (2 marks), Part III (3 marks) and Part IV (5 marks). In 2026, papers began at 10 AM with 10 minutes of reading time and 5 minutes of verification, running to 1:15 PM (Indian Express). I did not find the 2027 timings, so check the official timetable.
Part IV questions need complete, structured answers with diagrams or steps, so practise them from Phase 2.

Your school will hold its own half-yearly and revision exams. Last year's half-yearly was held from December 10 to 23, but I did not find the 2026-27 dates, so adjust Phase 1 and 2 when your school announces them.
