Bihar Board Class 10 Last 30 Days — Subject Wise Strategy February 2027

Bihar Board Matric 2027 exams are expected in mid-February. A 30-day subject-wise plan built around BSEB's 50% objective pattern, OMR accuracy, and high-weightage chapters in Maths, Science, Social Science, Hindi and English.

In short: Bihar Board (BSEB) Matric 2027 exams are expected in February, usually starting in the second or third week after the Intermediate exams. BSEB has not released the official date sheet yet, so check biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in. Half of every paper is objective (OMR-based MCQs with no negative marking), which makes the last 30 days unusually powerful: daily MCQ practice alone can secure 40+ marks per subject. Spend the final month on objective drills, high-weightage chapters and full timed papers.

Bihar Board is different from most boards because the objective section is as big as the written section. That changes how you should use your final month. A CBSE student needs to write long answers well to score. A Bihar Board student who is accurate on MCQs and the OMR sheet is already halfway there before writing a single long answer.

Why the Last 30 Days Matter More for Bihar Board

SectionMarksHow the last 30 days help
Objective (OMR)50MCQ practice directly lifts this score. 100-150 MCQs a day for a month covers most question types.
Short answers (2 marks)~20-30Revising definitions and key points is quick and effective.
Long answers (5 marks)~20-25Choose 4-5 strong chapters per subject and practise full answers.

If you are behind, the objective section is where you recover fastest.

Subject-Wise Priorities

Mathematics

  • Highest-return chapters: Quadratic Equations, AP, Trigonometry (and Heights and Distances), Coordinate Geometry, Mensuration, Statistics
  • Objective questions test formulas and direct application. Revise your formula sheet daily.
  • In subjective answers, write every step. Partial marks are given for method.

See the Bihar Board Class 10 Maths weightage.

Science

  • Physics: Light (mirror and lens formula, refraction) and Electricity (Ohm's law, resistance in series/parallel)
  • Chemistry: Chemical equations, acids-bases-salts, metals and non-metals, carbon compounds
  • Biology: Life processes, control and coordination, reproduction, heredity
  • Practise labelled diagrams: human heart, digestive system, nephron, neuron, flower

  • Prepare 4-5 nibandh outlines and 2 patra formats.

English

  • Grammar (tense, voice, narration, articles, prepositions) is predictable
  • Practise one letter and one paragraph every two days
  • Read the textbook prose summaries once more

OMR Sheet: Protect the Marks You Earned

An MCQ you know but bubble wrongly is a lost mark. In Phase 2, practise on real OMR sheets.

  • Use the pen type the board specifies (usually blue or black ballpoint)
  • Fill each bubble completely; do not tick or cross
  • Fill roll number and booklet series carefully at the start
  • Do not use whitener or erase
  • Leave 10 minutes at the end of the objective section to check every bubble
  • No negative marking means attempt every required question

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the Bihar Board Class 10 exam in 2027?

BSEB has not announced the date sheet yet. Based on previous years, Matric exams are expected in mid-to-late February 2027, after the Intermediate exams. Check biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in for the official schedule.

Is there negative marking in Bihar Board MCQs?

No. There is no negative marking, so attempt every required objective question even if you are unsure.

How many MCQs should I practise daily in the last month?

Aim for 50-100 MCQs a day across subjects, and review every wrong answer. Over 30 days that adds up to 2,000-3,000 questions, which covers most question types.

Can I pass Bihar Board Class 10 with only MCQ preparation?

It is possible to pass, but it is risky. A balanced plan works better: strong MCQ practice plus 4-5 chapters per subject prepared for short and long answers.

Should I study from NCERT or Bihar Board books?

Use the BSEB prescribed textbooks, especially for Hindi and Social Science. For Maths and Science, the content largely follows NCERT. Practise with BSEB model papers and previous year papers.

What if my paper is in the afternoon shift?

In the last 7-10 days, move your main study block to 1:30-5:00 PM so you are used to concentrating at that time.
