Class 2 Evs - BIHAR
Air
The chapter 'Air' in Class 2 EVS introduces young learners to the presence and importance of air in our daily lives. Students learn that air is all around us, invisible yet essential for breathing, flying kites, and moving things. Designed for Bihar (BSEB) students, this chapter builds foundational environmental awareness. It matters for board exams because questions often test basic observational skills, such as how we feel air as wind and why living things need air to survive.

Air is Everywhere
Air fills all empty spaces around us, even inside empty-looking bottles and balls, though we cannot see it.
Breathing
All human beings, animals, and plants need air to breathe and stay alive.
Wind
Moving air is called wind. Gentle wind is called a breeze, and very strong, fast wind is called a storm.
Air Fills Objects
We can fill air into balloons, footballs, and bicycle tubes to make them puffy and useful.
Air Has Weight and Takes Space
Even though it is light, air fills up space and has weight, which can be seen when a balloon is blown up.
