In short: The RBSE Class 10 first board exam for 2027 is expected in February–March, and the official date sheet is likely in December 2026 or January 2027 at rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in. Main subjects have an 80-mark theory paper and 20 internal marks, with a 3 hour 15 minute duration. From 2027, RBSE is moving to two board exams a year for Class 10, with the second exam acting as an improvement chance. Treat the first exam as your main attempt: the last 30 days should go to high-weightage chapters, objective practice and full timed papers.
Rajasthan Board students have an advantage this year: a second exam later in the year gives a safety net. That safety net is useful, but it is not a reason to take the first exam lightly. Improving 2-3 subjects in May–June is much easier when the first attempt is already strong.

How the Two-Exam System Changes Your Last 30 Days
| Situation | What it means for the first exam |
|---|---|
| You are strong in most subjects | Aim high in the first exam. Use the second exam only if one subject goes badly. |
| You are weak in 1-2 subjects | Still prepare them seriously now. The second exam is a backup, not a plan. |
| You are behind overall | Prioritise passing every subject in the first attempt. Improvement in the second exam is limited to a few subjects. |
The rules on how many subjects you can improve and how the better score is counted are set by RBSE. Our RBSE Exam 2 strategy guide explains the current details.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is the RBSE Class 10 exam in 2027?
The first board exam is expected in February–March 2027. RBSE usually releases the date sheet in December or January. Check rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in for the official schedule.
Does the second RBSE exam mean I can relax in the first one?
No. The second exam is meant for improvement in a limited number of subjects. Your first exam result is your base. A strong first attempt means you only need the second exam for one or two subjects, if at all.
How many marks is the RBSE Class 10 theory paper?
Main subjects have an 80-mark theory paper and 20 internal marks. The paper is 3 hours 15 minutes long.
Is NCERT enough for RBSE Class 10?
RBSE follows NCERT for Maths and Science. For Hindi, Sanskrit and parts of Social Science, use the RBSE prescribed textbooks. Practise with RBSE model papers.
How many hours should I study in the last 30 days?
Six to eight focused hours a day is enough. Protect 7-8 hours of sleep; it improves retention more than an extra hour of reading.
What if I fail a subject in the first exam?
RBSE's second exam gives you a chance to clear it within the same year. Prepare seriously for the first attempt so you need the second one as little as possible.
